In response to frequent requests, our adult lessons are now offered as 3-hour workshops, allowing participants to cover more material in one day, but still leaving most of the day for other activities.

• Each workshop includes coffee or tea and something to knosh on during a break, as well as handouts for students to keep and use again later.
• Workshops are limited to 6 participants maximum.
• The workshops listed below will be conducted at the VFW Post 4487, 52 Underwood Lane, Middletown, RI 02842 (between the Getty station and the Coddington Brewery)
• Due to small class size, advanced registration is required and will guarantee a seat. We accept cash, check, credit cards, and Newport Chamber of Commerce gift certificates.

Basic Computer Skills Beginner: Basic terminology, files & file types, file management tools, windows (not Windows!), Help; Class date is 9/26/09, Early Bird Tuition is $70, $85.00 after 9/21

Basic Computer Skills Intermediate: Customizing your computer, software, menus & toolbars, maintenance & backups; Class date is 10/03/09, Early Bird Tuition $70.00, $85.00 after 9/23

Basic Computer Skills Advanced: Internet safety, basic networking for multi-computer homes, installing & using email; Class date is 10/31/09, Early Bird Tuition $70.00, $85.00 after 10/21

Introduction to Digital Camera (Also called “I just got this darn thing – now what do I do with it?”) – Installing camera software, uploading photos, basic photo editing, sharing photos by email and online, printing photos. Students should come prepared with their cameras, including all package contents. In addition, students may wish to bring their own computer for this workshop.
